Show your pooch some puppy love this Valentine’s Day!

Published:

The Kings Head in Harborne is renowned locally for their hospitality towards humans and canines alike and this Valentine’s Day will be no exception.  The popular local venue opened its doors to man’s best friend in the summer of 2015, and the new venture has been a hit with patrons ever since.

Until the summer customers were only able to sit in the beer garden with their furry friends, but manager at the popular social hub, Richard Perry, decided to open up the 200 capacity bar area to dog owners and their four legged friends, after many requests from customers who regularly use the venue.

Customers wanting to dine with their doggies must abide by the historical eatery’s ‘house rules’ and are only permitted in the bar area.  The King’s Head kindly request that no unruly wet noses end up chomping on plates of Chicken Supreme and visitors should also be cute, quiet, well behaved, toilet trained and polite – that goes for pampered pooches too.

Richard Perry, Manager at The King’s Head said, ““From Friday the 12th to Sunday the 14th February, customers will be treated to a locally sourced and inspiring Valentine’s Day menu.  We have worked hard to provide our lovebirds with a selection of dishes that are designed to tantalise the taste buds and arouse romance, such as Sharing board of 18oz Chateaubriand.  A lot of our customers bring their dogs in for a pint and a light bite so we saw Valentine’s Day as an opportunity for them, and us to spread the love.”

The King's Head is an independent gastro pub and restaurant, which is proud to use only the freshest produce, delivered daily.  The team endeavours to push the boundaries of modern cuisine and come up with new and innovative dishes, which make them stand out from the crowd.  In addition to their restaurant, The Kings Head also offers great value for money with a wide range of craft beers and ales, wines, cocktails and beverages in their spacious, open plan lounge bar where customers and their furry friends can soak up the warm and friendly atmosphere.
